On 29 October 2025, Worcester Bowmen held its annual Halloween Fun Shoot. With all archers shooting from the same distance, both recurve and barebow archers enjoyed a relaxed, light-hearted atmosphere focused on enjoyment rather than competition. Although everyone’s competitive side always comes out!

🎯 The Shoot
The session featured a full range of Halloween-themed targets, including vampires, werewolves, mummies and haunted castles. Each design offered its own mix of scoring zones and challenges, giving archers something a little different from the standard faces we usually shoot.
Although the evening was run as an informal competition, the variety of target styles encouraged everyone to focus on accuracy, shot placement and consistency. It was a fun way for both recurve and barebow archers to test their skills, try new aiming points and enjoy a relaxed but engaging indoor shoot.

Thank You
A big thank-you to everyone who attended, helped put out targets, and packed away at the end of the evening. Events like this run smoothly thanks to the support and enthusiasm of our club members.
